''THE ASYLUM'', STEAMPUNK, LINCOLN, 2016-2017

Just realised that my Steampunk gallery for 2016 was not open so I have incorporated 2016-2017 images into one gallery. This is the largest Steampunk festival in Europe which takes place in Lincoln Cathedral Quarter over the August Bank Holiday Weekend. This event attracts people from around the world wearing pseudo-Victorian costumes. Steampunk has been described as "nostalgia for what never was" & draws on a wide variety of influences from HG Wells/Jules Verne to comics.
