AEC MATADOR REFUELER at EAST KIRKBY
AEC MARSHALL 6x6 MATADOR REFUELER at Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre East Kirkby, June 4th 2012. These vehicles were simply referred to as AEC (rigid) six-wheeler. The AEC (0)854 was an extended Matador on the rear double axle Marshall bogie designed by AEC's engineer Charles Cleaver. A compartmet at the rear of the tank housed the pumping equipment. The tank comprised of three compartments with a Stuart-Turner petrol engine pumping the fuel.
