AD-LIB, 22nd NOVEMBER 2014
Images from AD-LIB, 22th November 2014. UNISON CELLAR BAR. The Ad-Lib Club strive to bring you the "Back to the Roots" sounds from the 50s and early 60s adopted by the mod,r&b,soul elite that helped give birth to the original underground all nighter scene up to 1966. The venue try's to replicate, as best as possible the original underground scene. I could not make the last evening due to wedding commitments so I was pleased that I could attend the last night of 2014 & attempt to document the night. Our venue is a stone-walled cellar bar beneath Lord Beaumonts 1823 Manor House. A warren of rooms with chill-out decks in the lounge bar and full on decks in the main room. There is also an upstairs lounge bar open on our nights to ease any congestion in the cellar-bar.Rare and underplayed R&B,Early Soul,Doowop,Hammond Grooves,Jamaican R&B,Jamaican Ska.These are the sounds you are likely to hear banging off those old stone walls. This is a very popular event with another sold-out evening. Guest DJ's were Glenn Merrifield, Clive Read, Steve Longwith & Jon Godden. I have also uploaded a number of HD Video clips from the evening to this gallery which can be view on page 3. Click the 'house' icon top left of this page to take you to this websites main home page.
