AD-LIB-30th NOVEMBER 2013
Final Ad-Lib event of 2013 took place on November 30th.The Ad-Lib Club strive to bring you the "Back to the Roots" sounds from the 50s and early 60s adopted by the mod,r&b,soul elite that helped give birth to the original underground allnighter scene. We try to be as authentic as possible and true to the "roots" of the scene.STYLE-CULTURE-HISTORY-that's what the club is all about. Our venue is a stone-walled cellar bar beneath Lord Beaumonts 1823 Manor House. Two minutes from Lincolns city centre but down a quite tree-lined street with a council run carpark to the rear (small evening charge). A warren of rooms with chill-out decks in the lounge bar and full on decks in the main room. There is also an upstairs lounge bar open on our nights to ease any congestion in the cellar-bar.Rare and underplayed R&B,Early Soul,Doowop,Hammond Grooves,Jamaican R&B,Jamaican Ska.Cut off period 1966.These are the sounds you are likely to hear banging off those old stone walls. This is a very popular event with a rising number of people wanting tickets including many younger persons who are interested in this scene.
