Operation Tutbury Castle, 26th-27th May 2012. Tutbury Castle is located near Burton-on -Trent, Staffordshire, a ruinious medieval castle in the ownership of the Dutchy of Lancaster.Destroyed by Prince Edward in 1264, most of the remains apart from the 12th century chapel date from the 14th &15th century when the castle was rebuilt.Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned at the castle in the 14th century. Myself & Paul made the couple of hours drive to this 1940s event on the Saturday in glorious sunshine, though the hot weather didn't make life easy regarding photographs!
